In May, San Clemente, CA foreclosure filings were 14% lower than the previous month and 18% lower than the same time last year, according to RealtyTrac.com.

Auctions increased 25.0% from the previous month and dropped 50.0% from the previous year. Bank-owned properties decreased 37.5% from the previous month and 0.0% from the previous year.

California home sales reached the highest level in two years in June, experiencing the first double digit increase since May 2012. California home prices continue to improve but as a more moderate pace.  

Single family home sales climbed to 427,000 in May from 428,000 in June 2015, increasing from 391,000 in June 2014.

Ready to upgrade your dog's domicile? Check out the Puphaus by Pyramd Design Co., an Atlanta based design and build studio founded by industrial designer Zach Griggs and graphic designer Roy Fleeman.

Puphaus is clad in strips of red cedar that wrap around the enclosure to create clean, minimal horizontal lines. Its roof and flooring are comprised of hardy Portland cement board. The Puphaus does require assembly but its parts can be joined without tools.

The California Association of Realtors closely monitors and analyzes trends in the residential real estate industry. The table below contains the latest reported existing home sales series, median home prices, unsold inventory index, median time on market, first-time buyer housing affordability index, and the latest mortgage rates.

California home prices increased 7.0% in June 2015 compared to the previous year, the number of sales increased 11.0% while the amount of unsold inventory dropped 13.2%. This is all great news for the California real estate market!
