In January, the number of properties that received a foreclosure filing in San Clemente, CA was 26% higher than the previous month and 33% higher than the same time last year, according to RealtyTrac.com.

In January 2014, Pre-foreclosure activity increased 175.0% compared to the previous month and increased 450.0% from the previous year. Auctions were the same as the previous month and dropped 33.3% from the previous year. Bank-owned properties decreased 28.6% from the previous month and increased 25.0% from the previous year.
