Across the nation, home values rose by about 5% in 2013. In some of the areas of the United States, home values went up as much as 20%! San Clemente and surrounding areas, such as Dana Point and Laguna Niguel, saw home values grow this year. Many factors have played into this increase in home value. Things like low mortgage rates and low housing inventory have contributed to this increase.

The percentage of homes in San Clemente that grew in value in 2013 was 94.6%, according to a new study. Neighboring Dana Point saw 96.7% of homes increase in value, along with Laguna Niguel at 97.7%. San Clemente saw a growth of 2.55% in property values as well. This is slightly behind the South Orange County average of 3.36% but San Clemente is above the statewide…
