For anyone who's interested in marine science, oceanography, or the environment, there are few better places to visit than the Ocean Institute at Dana point. Here, a variety of programs are offered throughout the week, while the Institute is open to the general public on the weekends, allowing them to have a closer look at what these programs do. In addition, the Institute also offers daily voyages on the “Sea Explorer”, its 70 foot research vessel that studies and observes the marine life around San Clemente.
