Talega is one of the newer areas in the beach front city of San Clemente in Orange County, California 92673. Talega is home to about 9,000 residents that live in some 3,500 residential properties within the 3,510 acres of rolling hills east of the ocean, easily accessible from highway 5 exits at either Avenida Pico or Avenida Vista Hermosa.
Amenities in the mostly affordable, upscale coastal community of Talega includes three community pools with a sport center at the Talega Swim and Athletic Club, hiking trails, many parks and the Talega Village Shopping Center. The Fred Couples signature designed Talega Golf Club, with pro shop and restaurant, is an 18-hole public golf course considered among the best in Orange County. There is also a luxury, active adult 55+ gated community within Talega called The Talega Gallery.
The Vista Del Mar School (K through 8), attendance limited to Talega residents, is part of the Capistrano Unified School District.
