San Clemente Events

There's plenty to do on San Clemente's beautiful waterfront during the annual mid-summer Ocean Festival, billed as "The Greatest Show on Surf." Thousands of spectators and participants come to town on a weekend in late July for the festival and its many events, a local tradition since the mid-1970s. The Festival begins with a Saturday morning pancake breakfast, followed by family events all day, including an Ocean Art Show, Waterman and Waterwoman Competitions, and Fishing Derbies. Saturday night features the beach bbq and free concert, and Sunday's finale is the ever-popular Rubber Duck Race.

San Clemente Village Farmers Market - The Farmers Market is held every Sunday from 9am - 1pm in the 200 block of Avenida Del Mar. Enjoy cost saving while getting quality, fresh picked, vine and tree ripened quality produce.

San Clemente Village Art Fair - Held on the first Sunday of every month from 9am - 4pm on Avenida Del Mar where you can shop for art, crafts and other creative items from more than 60 vendors as well as stroll the avenue shops and restaurants.

San Clemente Pier - Originally built in 1928 and rebuilt twice since, the historic San Clemente pier located at the end of Avenida Del Mar (611 Avenida Victoria) is over 1,200 feet long. You will enjoy has stunning coastline views while on it for a leisurely stroll, fishing or even enjoying a meal at the Fisherman's Restaurant.

SC Open Skateboard Tournament - The local skateboarding scene heats up in late summer with this annual open tournament. Riders of any age, both amateur and sponsored, can enter the all-day event, which takes place at San Clemente Ralph's Skate Court. Additional attractions throughout the day include live bands, non-competitive skateboard demonstrations, a vendor fair, and community service information.

Paint San Clemente - Some of the best artists in Southern California come to San Clemente for this week-long art extravaganza, where $10,000 in cash and prizes is awarded. The event runs every summer in mid-july, and features a Plein Air Painting Competition, a Quick Draw Competition, a Gallery Exhibit, and a Collectors' Gala.
