Summer ends in style with the annual Jazzfest and Taste of the Lake on the shores of Lake Mission Viejo. This afternoon and evening concert brings a variety of sounds to the lake's North Beach, from jazz-rock and R&B to Hard Bop. Four or five bands from across the nation typically play at the event, as well as a variety of local bands and songwriters. The Jazzfest also features an outdoor visual art exhibit and contest called Paint the Lake, and a food fair organized by some of the best local restaurants.

Annual Street Painting and Festival of the Arts - Street painting dates back to 16th century Italy, where it was practiced by the renowned artist Madonnari. Artists from all over travel to Mission Viejo for this annual May festival, to celebrate Madonnari's classic art form, and beautify local streets with pastel chalk.

- July 4th Street Faire & Fireworks Spectacular
- Holiday Boutique - This fall arts and crafts fair is one of South County's most popular shopping events. Dozens of local artisans are featured in the Boutique, offering shoppers a number of gift ideas, ornaments, and specialty items to help with their shopping lists.
- Octo-boo-fest - Mission Viejo celebrates Fall's best traditions every year with this festival, which typically happens on the third Saturday of October. Festival events include a pumpkin decorating contest, a magic and illusions show, rides, and display booths. Kids in particular will love Octo-boo-fest.
