San Clemente Names Teachers Of The Year
Posted by Hartanov Team on Sunday, February 12th, 2012 at 7:19am.The Capistrano Unified School District and Capistrano Unified Education Association have chosen fifty-eight teachers as the top educator at their schools.
San Clemente teachers are Molly Newman at Truman Benedict Elementary, Kelly Newton at Concordia Elementary, Paola Paz Soldan at Las Palmas Elementary, Cheri Rusinkovich at Clarence Lobo Elementary, Krickette Fredrick at Marblehead Elementary, Kim Goode at Vista del Mar Elementary, Loretta Vavrick at Bernice Ayer Middle, Becky Walla at Shorecliffs Middle, Craig Adnams at Vista del Mar Middle and Patrick Harris at San Clemente High.
The teachers are selected by fellow educators at their respective schools before being evaluated by a district committee.
The San Clemente teachers will now compete to be named one of three district Teachers of the Year. District winners will be announced in March and recognized at the annual Teacher of the Year Celebration at Ocean Hills Church in San Juan Capistrano on Thursday, May 3. The three winners—one each at the elementary, middle and high school levels—will then compete in the Orange County Teacher of the Year contest.
