The 6th Annual "GardenFest" in San Clemente on April 14, 2013

San Clemente will be host to another annual fun event! The 6th Annual GardenFest" will take place in San Clemente on April 14, 2013 from 8 am -3 pm.  This exciting celebration will be open to the public and admission is FREE for all families and visitors. Hosted by the San Clemente Garden Club, this event will include a Plant Sale and Garden Flea Market, exhibits, and so much more.

This year's GardenFest was a huge hit in San Clemente.  People flocked to the San Clemente Community Center to take place in the floral design contest, along with live music, face painting, water conservation tips and information on composting. The General Plan Advisory Committee of San Clemente got praise from The San Clemente City Council recently.  The Advisory Committee has been working for three years on a plan for the development of San Clemente and Talega over the next two decades. Much of the discussion was on commercial development but there was talk of the residential side of San Clemente and Talega as well.

San Clemente has grown significantly over the last two decades. During the early 90's, San Clemente had a population of about 41,000 and less than 40,000 in the 80's.  The population of San Clemente has since gone through a boom with the development of Talega.  In 2007, the population of San Clemente passed the 60,000 mark.
